In a recent LinkedIn post dated 3 August 2023, the Department unveiled the improved processing times for various types of visas. The enhancements include:
Average Australian Visa Processing Times:
- 📚Student (subclass 500) visas: Within an impressive 16 days
- 🛠️ Temporary Skilled Shortage (subclass 482) visas: Now processed within just 21 days
- 👩⚕️Employer-sponsored visas for healthcare and education professionals: Remarkably within a single day
- 🌍 Working Holiday visas (outside of Australia): A swift turnaround of only 1 day
But the positive changes don’t stop there. Permanent visa processing times have also been revamped. Notably, a substantial 90 percent of Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) visa applications are now being processed within an efficient seven months.
